Letter to the editor: A big thank you to all who help keep North Attleborough Beautiful

Keep North Attleboro Beautiful wishes to thank the wonderful 600+ volunteers who participated in the seventh annual Great American Cleanup held on Saturday, May 4.

Participants who turned out in the damp weather included Scout groups, church groups, athletic teams, business groups, families, and individuals.

Waste Management hauled away two and a half tons of filled litter bags. One ton of illegally dumped materials were brought to the transfer station. They included: scrap metal, a mattress, a couch, part of a wooden fence, tires, and two TV’s. To legally dispose of recyclable items please call the Solid Waste Department at (508) 699-0105.
